Kathryn Bigelow has a new project
The oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow (first and only woman director to win an oscar) has a new project after a long wait of 4 years. The project is untitled but the plot is clear: A police raid in Detroit in 1967 results in one of the largest citizen uprisings in United States’ history.
Next year, 2017, will be the 50 anniversary of the conflict where 43 people died, 1189 got hurt, 7200 got arrested and more than 2000 building were destroyed. It all started on 23rd July 1967 in Detroit with the police raid of an establishment selling alcoholic drinks.
Mark Baol, who worked with Bigelow previously writing Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker, will be the writer.
