Kimmy Schmidt is back for a second season
The colorful Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is back for a second season this April 15th, and even though we haven’t had the chance to see Kimmy’s new adventures in NY city, the show, co-created by Tina Fey, has already been renewed for a third season.
Ellie Kemper, Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess will be back, and we’ll have the chance to see how their characters grow and change. Kimmy (Ellie) gets deeper emotional and life issues that she has to really get into. Jacqueline (Jane) is getting out of her marriage and needs to learn who is she now. And Titus (Tituss) will enter a grown-up relationship this season.
We’ll see more stars this season too. Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) will be playing a trophy wife, “friends” with Jane Krakowski’s character. Zosia Mamet (Girls) will do a cameo playing a hipster couple with Evan Jonigkeit. Fred Armisen (SNL) will play one of Lillian’s old lovers. And Tina Fey will do a cameo (again) in this new season, but maybe, doing a different character?
The show was originally written for NBC but now is on Netflix so they could use a more adult approach, but they won’t do it just because they can. The audience is relatively young.
The fact that we’ve realized that our audience is young, as a mom, I would hate to trust this show and then put on the second season and then there’s just prison sex. That has its place, believe me.
